So the next book on my list was one that I had bought quite a while back. ‘That’s The Way We Met’ by Sudeep Nagarkar is an Indian romance novel that I would suggest.
Here’s the catch, while I agree that it is a nice book, I definitely have some issues with it. But let’s start from the first.
The book is a romance novel based in India. It follows the story of Aditya and Riya, two people who are head over heels in love with each other. They are inseparable and it is clear that their relationship has stood the test of time. Now, they manage to hitch up two of their friends and the four have a riot. The author takes the reader on a thrilling adventure through the streets of Mumbai, up to Delhi, and all the way to Manali. It is a rollercoaster of emotions from Romance, Love, and Happiness, all the way to Separation, Grief, and Sadness.

With a very simple straightforward story, the book is great for a simple enjoyable read. You won’t find any faults with the story line.
But, I personally had a few problems with the book.
For firsts, this is the second book I am seeing that I find has no relevance to the title. Granted, there are several references to the way Aditya and Riya met in this story, but how did they meet? This is a question the author fails to answer.
Second, seeing as I am a sucker for happy endings, the story stops with an open-end. While I might prefer this to the sad ending that is implied, I can’t help but wish for a happy ending after all the trouble the protagonists go through.
Third, this is one of the first books that I have read with a lot of typographical mistakes. A few grammatical mistakes and a lot of spelling mistakes and a few typos throughout the book definitely irritated me. Let me say one thing, if this is a problem with only one of the editions of the book, I sincerely hope you get a different one.
So there it is. The story is a very basic, nice and happy one. I personally applaud the author for that. But I truly wish that some things were different. That would definitely have made it a better read.
I give it a 3/5.
