review 1: If you're interested in super-bugs and how they might impact the future, this is a great read. It's fast paced and was hard to put down. The only fault I had in it was the extreme violence and strong language. I didn't really get why the assassin was part of the story, other than to add tension. The super-bug was frightening enough. Living through several graphic murders wasn't necessary to tell the story. I'm planning on reading the next story, but it's not one I'd hand over to my kids.
review 2: A good follow up to Plague although it seemed a bit more disjointed. Still, I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one. Really intense scenarios are presented, especially the look at LA after a few weeks of being exposed. No, it's not a perfect book but if y... moreou're looking for some really thorough escapist entertainment in a novel about a virus that spreads quickly and kills thoroughly, then this is your book. less
