Chet and Bernie Mystery
review 1: Another fun listen and just as good as the other books in the series. The only question I have in my mind is, what does Chet actually look like. This book gave a bit of an idea, but I like to picture characters in my mind. Though with the dog as a narrator, well, their concern about their looks is not something they would be all that concerned with. When Chet and Bernie came upon some FBI agents, one of the agents commented on Chet's being a 'police' dog, which narrowed it down a little bit at least, but continues to allude me with the vagueness. There were several aspects of the book which made this a fun read. One such part included when the reader got a little bit more insight about Chet's neighbor Iggy and the two went crazy in Iggy's home briefly. Another nice aspect ... moreof the book was a bit more development of the character Suzy, Bernie's girlfriend, who came to Chet's rescue.
review 2: Yet another fun Chet and Bernie mystery. In this one a woman hires Bernie to be her "friend" when she goes to a parent's weekend her ex told he he'd be going to as well. Their divorce was concluded a few months earlier and she has custody of their son. She's a little afraid of her ex so Bernie takes the job. Unfortunately when they get to the camp, her son is "lost". The story in this one is complicated. There are a couple parts that I didn't quite buy but mostly it was just fun. Looking forward to the next in the series. less
