review 1: China is back in problem-solving mode when a friend is mugged in the mall parking lot and succumbs to her injuries. It seems this killing was not random but rather, it is somehow related to a documentary being made by two local college students about a 15 year old cold case involving another death and a private art collection. A puzzling case, an old flame, the usual fun characters and some interesting looking recipes all combine to make a tasty case of murder.
review 2: Great book. I love the character of China and how she brings you into her world. Makes me want to buy a Victorian house, raise chickens, open my own herbal store and tea room and of course solve crimes on the side.Ruby and China have a friend who was mugged and hit several times in the head. N... moreo motive appears for the mugging. Then she dies and questions start to arise. Does this have to do with a cold case that 2 of her grad students are producing. China as usual finds herself in the middle of a mess. A good read and I am looking forward to reading more of her books less
