The Devil In Beauty

I would admit that this was one mystery that wasn’t solved easily. Although centering around a character who is in a sense, an outcast of society. But for good reasons if you ask me, and well, this book was appealing to me in the sense of the mystery.

The mystery comes when his friend is very highly wrongly accused of murder; after getting into an injury and often described as quite dumb. Not capable of doing murder, and well a lot of things prove it. Although his ending was not what you expect at all, and the mystery was a lot more complicated than what I expected too.

Such as who was the actual killer. I thought it will go down the predictable route, with plenty of twists being there all because there was something behind his family. And how wrong was I when it came to that. The mystery was not what I saw or even expect in the least.

Although plenty of things are lost here, the only constant is that the main narrator stays alive. And there is not any shocking reveals regarding him, the rest, you better expect to me surprised when you pick it up. This was one book which kept me guessing for such a long time, and I enjoyed it.

As for the ending, it does sound a tad too supernatural and all of a sudden kind of thing. Slightly ftting, but I think a lot of explanation needs to be there why it is even possible in the first place. Other than that, I do have a fondness for this book and the main character. He doesn’t really go on harping on his life, and well he is the one that is constantly doing something and on some level quite noble.

As for the real villain, there were more than one. This entire series of events were set off, and the villains were very sympathetic and relatable. They were all just stuck in horrible situations with the exception of one, he should be locked up in an asylum.

Hence, do I recommend this? Yes, I really like this book and well if you love mysteries, then yes you should read this. It will twist your mind in a different way, and it will defy your usual predications.
