Tiki feeds her family of forgotten orphans with the money she manages to pickpocket each day. When she gets an opportunity to steal a valuable ring, she takes it; it means her family will have full stomachs for a week. The ring, though, is special, and holds quite a power. One event leads to another, and soon, Tiki is in the midst of it all. Can she keep her mismatched family safe?
I loved The Faerie Ring! It combined my two favourite genres: history and fantasy. I liked the way Hamilton builds up the characters, but the ending was a bit of a disappointment and doesn’t totally fit with the characters. Otherwise it is a really good book.
