The Ghost Bride quick reaction review with spoilers

Reaction post: Full review soon.

In the first part of the film, I almost went home since I am not a Horror film genre fan

I went to the event since I support StarCinema and am so thankful for the privilege that they gave me to be able to promote their films. This film was given a PG -13 rating.

It is a good thing that by the second half, good was finally winning for a change. The lesson I can learn from the movie without giving any spoilers is that I like the way the movie delved into facing your demons literally. The hero David, played by Christian Bables,  an IT guy (sounds familiar) in the movie advised Mayen to not be affected by any evil people/spirits she sees and to continue to fight against the evil.

Eventually, she was rid of the curse of the Ghost Husband,

Kim Chiu performed her best here but another actress I am impressed with is Alice Dixson who played the role of the matchmaker. Christian Bables was a breath of fresh air in his portrayal of  David who saved Mayen in the end. Matteo surprisingly was not the ghost husband as I previously guessed and had a shorter screen time than I expected.

I recommend the film for Horror fans, Chito Rono fans,  KimChiu Fans and any fans of the cast involved. I believe the film is a good one even though I am not a fan of horror. I was happy to have watched the whole film especially since I was able to breathe in the 2nd part of the film.

I can say the movie played out like the Mummy. I would have preferred the love story between Mayen and David to be given more emphasis. Maybe in the Ghost Bride 2???

5 out of 5 stars for Horror film aficionados. For the people not too keen on Horror movies, you will be able to breathe in the 2nd half. Thanks for reading my quick review on the Ghost Bride. Thanks for all the readers and thanks to Star Cinema/Star Creatives especially sir James Banaag.
