The Introduction

I’m awesomely awkward
and
ridiculously random.
My weirdness cannot be shoved in boxes.
I’m more than a shy girl with her hands in her pockets.
Darn it, I own unicorns!
Born in the village.
Maybe that’s why I’m so goofy.
I know my past wounds have given life more beauty.
Maybe that’s why my poetry has more potency.
My imagination can burst through stars while eating marshmallows.
Yes, I just personified my imagination.
HELLO!
Honey, I have a glow.
You can’t see it,
it’s not for show.
Just my essence humming that I’m more than some
average Joe.
I’m Queen of the kinks.
I used to be a part of the voiceless tribe,
until God inscribed me with purpose.
I no longer feel worthless; no longer a believer in my own pessimism.
Darn it, I’m driven!
Far from coy when stating my boundaries.
I can be transparent like a diary
and guarded like Sloman Shields.
But, I always yield to growth.
Got a mind that mumbles meticulously
and a heart that loves ferociously.
Fragile like white lilies, but I’m firm;
I’m stern when I need to be.
Rarely butter up my words or look for honey.
I’m awesomely awkward
and
ridiculously random.
My weirdness cannot be shoved in boxes.
I’m more than a shy girl with her hands in her pockets.
Darn it,
I
own
unicorns.
