review 1: Did not like this one quite as much as the 1st 3, but still a good story, though I did not like the ending. This book had more of a mystery than the others, but somehow Emily did not keep my attention as much as the other heroines. How did the daughter of a washerwomen get herself educated enough to be a governess. Still a good read and can't wait for the next in the series, which I presume will be about Jack and Jenny.
