Do not prove, improve.
This is my new modus operandi.
After 8 years of sweat and tears trying to prove my worth as a writer to various publishing houses, I am resigning from this blood sport. Oh, I will continue to play, but I will now play my way.
The gauntlet I throw down is this: I write for myself, and the only whims I will follow are the story’s. I have proven that I am a writer, now I will focus on improving as a writer.
