review 1: This book had me hooked from the start. It was an easy read and very nice story line. Also, I got a major kick out of the fact that the heroine actually farted!!!!! Here I was reading this, as I was sick with the flu, and literally laughed my ass off!!! I knew then that Samantha Young was real!! Thank you for making a sick girl feel so much better. And might I add Braedan Carmichael is one sexy man!!
review 2: DNF half way through and that was months ago. I usually like to just finish every book I start even if I'm not that fond of it, but months later and I do not care if I never read this book ever again. I felt like I was literally forcing myself to read this book. Author uses repetitive wording. 3 pages in and I already read the word "bemused" more than ... moreI would have liked to. Even writing essays for school I was taught not to use the same word over and over and over again. "Fuckity fuck fuck shittitty fuck" got very old very fast as well. The main character is possibly the most unlikable character I've ever met. On top of being incredibly closed and guarded, she's just a cold bitch all together. There's just nothing likable about her. Nothing warm or bubbly or even remotely friendly. Overall, I felt like I was just reading words. I never actually felt anything, because the connections between people just didn't make sense. You just read that people are friends, but you never even understand how they could possibly have that friendship. There were never any nice little moments that made you get how total opposites could be friends or lovers. It just felt forced. Never picking this book up again and I'm pretty upset because this is the first time I honestly felt like I wasted money on a book. less
