The debut post of Knits with Dogs is a day without knitting in the presence of my dogs. Not without good reason though!
This morning I left our house with our Big Guy, on my way to Bloomfield Hills and a day of major surgery for his leg. This is our second foray into this realm, it will be two years this coming October from his first surgery for his right cranial cruciate ligament. Today, it’s his left being repaired. No question or discussion needed this time, sign us up for the TPLO job.
So please accept these token Big Guy photos, he’s more than worth all this effort!
While waiting for him to come out of surgery, I snuck in some knitting in a Starbucks, getting another ‘set’ of rounds done on my current shawl. I also took a quick trip to a ‘local’ yarn shop to pick up some odd sized needles. 3.75mm, for a pattern I’d picked out to participate in a summer KAL, jointly hosted by Dunkelgrün and Yarn to Table, both podcasts and Ravelry groups. However, getting back to my hotel and jumping into the pattern resulted in a couple of issues already, so I ~may~ be picking another pattern to knit up. Which is too bad because I really like the look of the Paseo top I picked out. We shall see, I may figure it out on my own.
Well I’m beat, time to sleep. AKA fall asleep while knitting and watching Travelers on Netflix!
