review 1: Actual Rating: 2.5 StarsThis book was a little bit better than the first of this series, written by Nalini Singh. Since I adore her Psy/Changeling-series, i didn't wanted to give up just yet.Thea and David definitly matched my taste better than Fox and Molly, but there were still some issues, that I have with this novella. But it's still a good book, if you're looking for a cute love affair between a manager and her rockstar client. This book is an easy, cheesy read. You shouldn't expect a brilliant, new-funded storyline, because you won't find innovativeness here. Which was also part of why this book didn't touch my heart much. But like I said, the main pairing fits me a lot better than Fox and Molly. David is a straight, nice guy. No stalking, no overrated jelousy, just a... more little bit possessiveness (which I find a little bit annoying, but yeah...)What I couldn't stand was the whole 'instalove'-situation. Again. Or the fact, that at the beginning of the book both of the characters already are interested in each other, so the build up is totally missing, which was a little bit sad. Also the development of the relationship is too fast, but maybe that's just my opinion. The author mostly skipped a lot of time between some scenes, so in the book the time probably passed by faster. For me as reader, it was totally insta, so I had a hard time buying it.Also the main topic in this book is - surprisingly - building up a relationship, trust issues and getting together. There are no other minor plotline, the minor characters just appear when there's need for them, but I didn't really feel that they had their own life, if you know what I mean. And yeah, I know this is just a novella, but I recognized this in the first book, too. And I recognized it in other books of this genre (new adult, although the author claims it's a contemporary). This non-dimensional storytelling was really boring for me. An easy, but long-stretched, 0815 story. I'll pick up the second book of this series, maybe it might be better (since there are Charly and T-Rex involved, the author better not screw up this pairing. I'm so interested in them!)
review 2: Though I was disappointed that they only got a novella, I'm pleased to say that David and Thea's short story was very well done. Playing on the fact that these two were friends first, their road to romance is filled with sexy words in the form of memos sent back and forth. By the time these two get together they are combustible. Was a little disappointed in the conflict chosen to cause some distrust in David and Thea's fledgling relationship...but it's wrapped up quickly. Adorable ending-really looking forward to getting both Noah's and especially Abe's back stories. less

I liked this one much better than Rock Addiction. I think the novella lengthways a big help for me.
