WASHINGTON, D.C. — CNN correspondents raised eyebrows on Wednesday after predicting President Donald Trump would have a heart attack within “3 to 5 years” despite the president’s recently receiving a clean bill of health (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/01/16/watch_live_wh_press_briefing_with_sarah_sanders_january_16_2018.html).
Describing the 6’3″ 239 lb 45th president as “borderline obese,” medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta predicted Trump would have a heart attack within the next several years.
“New Day” host Alisyn Camerota snickered at Gumpta’s comments, musing aloud over previous reports that the 71 year old stood 6’2″.
“Somehow he has grown while being in the White House,” she chuckled.
Referencing a BMI chart, Gupta calculated the president’s Body Mass Index at 29.9.
“So he’s point-one away from being in the obese category,” Camerota noted, before turning her attention to the president’s calcium score, which was released as part of a routine physical by White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson.
Pointing out that Trump’s calcium score had jumped from 34 in 2009 to 133 in 2018, Gupta, who served as an adviser to then-first lady Hillary Clinton during Bill Clinton’s presidency, said Trump’s calcium scores are “concerning.”
“The president has heart disease,” said Gupta, before predicting Trump would suffer a massive heart attack within “3 to 5 years”.
“They have continued to go up despite the fact that he’s been on medications,” Gupta said. “So the president has heart disease. Those numbers qualify him for having heart disease, and he clearly needs a plan to try and prevent some sort of heart problem down the road.
CNN is not the first news outlet to challenge the president’s fitness to hold office. The president’s physical exam comes after months of questioning by liberal media outlets who questioned the president’s physical and mental health.
