Women empowerment in India

Being a woman is a blessing……

In olden days(in India),whenever a girl was born people were quite sad about it n never celebrated her birth while on the other hand when a boy was born,it was celebrated like anything.Well there was reason behind it.In those times,as men were often regarded to be superior to women they were the only ones to earn money and so they were educated while a female was only given the right to live so that she could do the household chores. Also,in those times girls got married at an early age and according to the Indian custom the bride’s father had to also give some dowry due which girls were often regarded to as a burden in the House who just used to  take money and never give some to the house.

Moreover,as being illiterate women used to accept their fate and never used to raise their voice in front of men.Due to this the so called “superior” men even started taking an unfair decision which was the death of girl child. They decided the fate of the girl that whether she should live or not and if not she was killed as soon as she was born. This led to the absence of females in Haryana due to which ‘Nanhi Chhaan’ campaign was organized to save girl child.

Well now it seems that with course of time as women got literated, they have become aware of their rights and have also learnt how to raise their voice for their rights and this has led to women excelling in various fields.Such as-Indira Gandhi(1st woman Prime Minister of India),Priyanka Chopra(a global icon who also achieved Padma Shri),Sakshi Malik(Olympic medal winner),Saina Nehwal…….welll the list is tooo long!

Women have now understandstood their importance n so have many men. Some men have got so much influenced by the Woman Importance  that through the newest  technology present they have even  changed their sex!Well that’s great…..

But still there are some backward towns n villages in India who still believe in “Woman Inferiority” and do kill the girl child.I hope that such people do listen to my and many more girls’ n womens’ voices and get influenced by it n stop doing something which is unfair.

Just feel proud to be a woman ’cause it is you who has the power to reproduce!!!!!
