review 1: Okay, so every once in awhile I like to read dark, twisted novels...and this is it. I found this novel intriguing for two reasons. The first, I'm fascinated by the Mary Kay Letourneau/Villie story or any story about female teachers diggi' on their underage students. It's quite a bizarre and perplexing concept, but for some strange reason I'm sometimes drawn to stories of sociopathic behavior. The second reason I was propelled to read this, was because my children attended a Waldorf school through kindergarten. I have always been a big proponent of Steiner's philosophy, so I was curious how the reader was going to intertwine two polar concepts--losing your innocence vs. prolonging your innocence. It worked. Obviously, this book is not for everybody, but I fo... moreund it to be a well written page turner with many layers. This would be a great book club read.
review 2: I love to read, but I did not love reading this book. When I began, I thought I was making connections--my children attended a Waldorf-inspired magnet school, I lived in Germany at one time and was fond of Bavaria--but it didn't take long for me to want to distance myself from anything I might have in common with Judy. I have two teenage sons and the hours spent reading this book left me feeling ill, imagining one of my boys being manipulated like Zach was. I read this book quickly though, voraciously even, just hoping for an end, for Judy to get what she had coming. So evoking a strong reaction such as this must mean the writer was successful? Yes, I suppose, but I can't muster more than two stars because I just can't say that I would recommend it--I like to carry a story forward in my heart and soul, but this one's sticking in the pit of my stomach. less

This was a well written book, that capture my mind. It was erotic. But thats how I like my books.
