review 1: As a native Hawaiian, I appreciated the fact that the author was intrigued enough by the stories of night marchers to create one of her own. There are so many interesting legends and myths in Hawaii and it was nice to see the menehune in this book as well. Overall I enjoyed the storyline of both the first and second book. There were a few things that annoyed me though and I don't think I would read it again or recommend it to anyone. It was an easy enjoyable escape from the real world into a Hawaiian legend and fantasy.
review 2: Really disappointed with this book! After reading some reviews and the story line I thought it would be an excellent read. After suffering through half of the book Iv decided to stop reading (this hardly ever happens). The characters
... moreare boring with no real personality, the story line is long and boring.... I mean come on, I'm half way through and all that's happened is a move to Hawaii... It's a bit cliché, girl moves, meets a gorgeous boy! This story line has so much potential to be a great book but instead it was just meh less

Really good book. For girls who like action with an equal amount of romance and friendship.
