review 1: I must have missed something because this book left me with a lot of questions. There's one scene where the bricks in the wall are trying to place who the man is who is in the room. There are several scenes where the moon follows a character or characters to see what they are doing. There is a hairless mouse who rides in a man's pocket and goes off to do his bidding on numerous occasions. The same man also carries two frogs with mustaches in a carrier who ride little tricycles in one scene when a man instructs them to do so. I thought this was going to be a straight mystery with a female and her two cats solving a mystery, but what I got was something else.
review 2: This is a short light read, but it took me about a month because I just couldn't get into it. ... moreI think there was too much story that happened in the previous two books and there's too much a sense of "ooh, this is something mysterious" instead of actually intriguing you. There's a lot of wacky characters but not much reason why so they just end up being annoying. Overall, I was just waiting for it to end, which was difficult at only one or two small chapters a day. less
