review 1: Beautifully melancholy reflection of depression and the lives that fall around it; every character interesting and relatable, even if not likable;I loved Emma and was glad the end of thee book was ambiguous in her relationship with faith - between her die hard Christianity and die hard atheism, more complex; when writer's often preach the latter when blaming the former for preaching - a far too easy trap to fall in. I did feel we should have read more about her; as she was such a lovely character introduced to us with relatively little screen time; but overall, brilliant.
