review 1: What stood out for me about this book was the way the author didn't jus tell us the story of Kit's struggle, she perfectly weaves together the struggles of an entire family, which revolve around Kit. I think that mental illness is often misunderstood and I would highly recommend this book for its accurate portrayal of this topic. Finished reading it in less than a week, but will always remember Kit's story!
review 2: This was a quick read for me as I was fascinated at how the family worked through the tragedy of their son's illness. Not the most cheerful subject matter but I did feel I learned something about coping with adversity. Each family member deals with it differently, I did feel tender towards Emma's character although the milkshake obsession did see
... morem rather childish, the board games, her CU membership, the bullying at school, were quite believable and I enjoyed her journey of self discovery, painful as it was. Although Jamie kept saying he and kit were so close his memories of kit didn't really show that. I found Joe's anger more upsetting than kit's suicide. less

This book will be really hard to read for those who had to deal with such a tragedy.
