review 1: Paisley and Jagger started out this book when Jagger rescued Paisley from drowning and performed CPR to save her life. They both felt a connection but Paisley had it in her head that she belonged with Will and was too stubborn to admit that maybe her feelings weren't true. Jagger comes storming back into Paisley's life and she finds herself struggling to admit her feelings. Paisley has baggage that requires honesty, yet she refuses to tell Jagger about her condition and keeps it from him even though they both swore honesty. Jagger keeps his family and past a secret as well and, as usual, when the secrets come out, they are both left reeling. Paisley risked her life doing stunts that she knew put her at risk but thought she was honoring her sister Peyton by doing them.... more When confronted with the truth about Peyton, Paisley strikes out at Jagger and acted like a spoiled child, saying some pretty nasty things. Jagger is left stunned and hurt by Paisley's words and behavior. They are left to find a way to forgive each other. It was well done and a nice read. The story flowed well and their secrets kept the story interesting trying to figure out what they were.
review 2: Ohh..Mmmm...Geee!! I cannot express enough how much I absolutely loved and devoured this book!!! Once I started reading it, I was hooked and there was no putting it down!!Paisley Donavan has a serious heart condition...the same one that claimed the life of her sister not that long ago. She is tired of being babied and treated like a piece of fragile glass by everyone around her who knows her condition which is why when she meets Jagger she decides to keep that fact to herself. They start off as friends but the more time they spend together the more things begin to change. Jagger has always been about one night stands but there is just something about Paisley that from the very moment he layed eyes on her he knew everything was different. They agree to always be honest with one another but they both carry around hidden secrets. It's kind of a don't ask, don't tell kind of deal....When one family dinner turns disasterous for Jagger Paisley tries to get him out of there but before is all said and done will Paisley's secrets also be exposed? Will it mean losing her the same way her family lost Peyton?You will love every single second of this book!! It will have you on the edge of your seat more times than you can count and near the end you will be biting your nails off trying to figure out what is going to happen but it will all be worth it!! Grab those tissues because you may need them a few times as well. Amazing job Rebecca Yarros!! This is the first book of yours I have read but it def won't be my last. I'm about to go devour Josh and Embers book now and have my fingers crossed we get a book on the others as well. less
