review 1: 3.5 Stars for me. Josh is great and just what Ember needed to help her deal with her father's death, but despite the span of time over which their story happened, it still fell in the insta-lust/insta-love category for me due to the lack of meaningful conversation. I don't find it believable that the amazing Josh Walker carried a torch for 15-year-old Ember, even if there is a photo to prove it. I respect Ember for what she gives up for her family, but I just didn't fall in love with her and her wishy-washy ways (urong sulong ka, bakit ka ganyan!) which made it hard for me to believe that Josh did too. There are some pretty adorable moments though.
review 2: I shed more tears for this book than any before. Being a military wife for 10 years myself this story hi
... moret me hard. I understand the highs and lows of being married to a man in uniform. Every deployment is a testament to a love shared and a bond strengthen. I was never more happy than the days he came home safe, but also never more touch than the moment it hit than some of them were never coming home again. This story touched on both sides of the military life, good and bad, and made me grateful for the life I have now. less

I cried! The daddy part hit my soul hard. I love December's name. And I loved Josh too.
