review 1: A very unbelievable book. While the book grabs you from the beginning with not a lot of frill, it did at first look intriguing. However, when the Russians entered the picture...it lost me. Very fast paced, it's a quick read. The author has extension knowledge of the legal profession and financial securities to make some information believable, the rest fell down. Way too "pat", quite clear who the bad guys are, and who the good guys are. Guns, torture, corrupt legal firm...with little or no development of characters to keep me interested.
review 2: (won through Goodreads giveaway)“The Insider” by Reece Hirsch is an interesting story with many plot twists. Hirsch places this story in a great setting and does it justice by his description and the well-placed
... moreaction threading throughout the city. The book is plot-driven and follows through with a satisfying resolution at the end. Hirsch will go on to write more thrillers as the end of the book implies more for this character. The main character, an attorney, will be one that I follow, hoping to like him more in the second book than I did in the first. less

The story was great, but I don't like reading books with bad languaage (and this had quite a bit).
