review 1: I am excited to say that this is one book that kept me laughing from beginning to end. It often seems that the life of a stay-at-home mom is rather trivial, but Reese Reed lets you know what being a mom is really about. Reed does not attempt to cover up the less than glamorous sides of motherhood, in fact for any mother-to-be Childproofed could be considered a necessary expose of motherhood. However, in between the diaper changes, sleepless nights and bodily changes that come with motherhood, Reed manages to find the humor. Childproofed is an easy read, it is funny and truthful and it is sure to entertain anyone who has ever experienced the transformation of motherhood.
review 2: This book was a quick and easy read as it's mostly comprised of dialogue. If you... more're looking for stellar writing or unpredictability, this book isn't for you. Although this book has potential, it was a very predictable read. It's like Cool-Whip, low on taste and nutritional value; okay while you're eating it, but barely remembered once you swallow your last bite. I think this book would be perfect for non-readers looking for a beach read or chicklit-type fiction, too titillating for YA readers, though. less
