review 1: I don't know if any books are truly amazing but Rhyannon Byrd's books always come close for me. Her ability to write emotion and relationship into her stories always make them hard to put down. I couldn't put this book down for most of the story, but I do have to warn you that you won't believe or like the big secret the hero has which is revealed at the end. It is a bit of a disappointment because it seems like a thrown together story that is just weird. The big secret on why he couldn't commit I just didn't buy it and felt like it was just a wing it thing to end the story. Other than that this is a stellar addition to her bloodrunner series.
review 2: This had all the things that would make a really good book to me - misunderstanding regarding love, werew... moreolves, a he-man. But as much as I should have liked it, I didn't. The hero was so full of buts, it was driving me crazy. He wants to leave because he left her alone and she got hurt. Um, well, then why do you want to leave again exactly? How is that better? And this girl's had to practically do back flips while cutting herself open to make him understand that if he loved her he'd stay with her. I just was not into this book at all and that's why it took me forever to read it. I'm sorry to the author, but this is my really, really honest review. less
