review 1: RB took a heroine who was very strong in other books and made her a bit weak in this one, IMO. The hero wasn't as heroic as he was in other books, either. Oh well, I guess you have to give your H/h flaws for their story or there wouldn't be anything for them to overcome. I enjoyed their journey anyway and was glad they got their HEA. This book, like the rest of the Primal Instinct series, was hot to scorching.
review 2: This was my first Rhyannon Byrd novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The storyline was very easily picked up, and although this is part of a series, it can stand alone. I didn't feel like I missed anything in the series, considering this is the first book of the series I read. Morgan and Kierland were very strong characters and worked perfectl... morey together not only in the bed, but in their battles to save Kierland's brother from evil. I found myself getting lost in the storyline of this book. I felt like "a fly on the wall" as I watched this romance turn from pure lust to love and commitment. This book has it all, action, lust, romance, and death. I would highly recommend this if you love paranormal romances. I'm very anxious to try more of Rhyannon Byrd's work! less
