review 1: I didn't realize that Mead had released this chapter (literally, it's only a chapter). I had heard that she'd originally intended to write Bloodlines from several POV's, then ultimately decided to change that to just Sydney. This is a nice mini-Adrian fix while waiting for the last book in the series to release (though it sucks reading "sad and pathetic" Adrian, versus the Adrian we've come to see and love in the rest of the series). I would have liked to read more about how the Adrian-Jill bond formed and was hoping it started here, but alas, it's just a much smaller glimpse into the time between Vampire Academy books and the Bloodlines books. Still, Mead is awesome, so the chapter is awesome and worth the 10 minutes it takes to read it.
review 2: Having Adrai... moren see Rose and Dimitri together just makes me even more desperate for a scene in the ruby Circle with Rose seeing Adrian and Sydney together. Though it couldn't be from her POV like this one is, i NEED a scene where Rose tells Adrian (or someone else, but preferably Adrian) that she was right, he did need to find someone who made him want to be better and he has and she puts all the pieces together about how Sydney is the reason he quit smoking and started taking anti-depressants and everything. I need it because of FEELS less
