review 1: It's not hard to imagine how good motives are mishandled when people take them into their own hands at all costs. Mofina makes you live the events from every viewpoint: special ops turned rogue, eye witness turned victim, investigative reporter seeking major scoop, terminally ill FBI special agent wanting to solve one last crime without interference from the press. This was a fantastic book, and I loved the ending. The scary part was the author's note at the end saying the book was based on some actual events.
review 2: This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride that starts on page one and never slows down. It's told from four different points of view: Lisa, the young mother who witnesses a violent armed robbery and murder. Frank, the lead inves... moretigator who relentlessly pursues the killers while dealing with his own personal crisis. Jack, the television reporter who was tipped off about the heist by an anonymous informant. And Ivan, one of the killers. The stories intermingle into a great read. Part thriller, part mystery, part drama -- filled with action and suspense, but also laced with heart-wrenching emotion. I couldn't put it down. Definitely worth reading. A real page turner. less
