review 1: So I don't even know how i found this book but I didn't know it was a paranormal angel book before I started (not my usual cuppa). Once I figured that out, I was so engrossed in the story I couldn't put it down. The story of Michael and Josh coming together was sweet and heartbreaking at times. Josh was going through so much grief and Michael was trying to take care of his charge without leading him too much. The big revelation had me cracking up and tearing up all at the same time. In short, a sweet and short Christmasy read that's perfect for the holidays.
review 2: What a lovely story of second chances and true love. These themes run throughout the book for several characters. Josh has had a terrible time - betrayal, humiliation, job loss, financial ruin, ... morenervous breakdown and the tragic loss of his father all in quick succession have pushed him close to the edge. Just when he's finally trying to get his feet back under him, he meets Michael who has the shop next to his father's bookstore. He's extremely fragile and Michael seems to be there when he needs a friend the most. It doesn't hurt that Michael is gorgeous as well :) They seem to hit it off but Josh has a lot going on in his head - not much of it too good. Michael seems to calm him but Michael has secrets too - secrets that might push Josh away forever. What a beautifully written story. I am a sucker for RJ's Christmas story - which I think she does so well. This is no exception. less
