review 1: I have such a great time with these series of stories. Just a perfect read for the dog days of summer. This time blood demon soldier/slave, Asher is enlisted to work with his half brother Phin to broker a peace with the elves, and unite those who oppose the rule of Glitnir. Their bodyguard is Simeon Blue, mountain lion shifter and brother to head of the Feline Guild. There is strong dislike and suspicion between the demon and feline. But there are stronger forces at work when Asher and Simeon can not deny a growing attraction. These stories are metaphors for accepting our differences. Celebrating those differences with tolerance and love.
review 2: ANOTHER GREAT BOOK ;)This book continues the story of The King, the Magic and the couples.Here we get introduced... more to Simeon Blue, a Mountain Lion Shifter, with a strong will.He gets drawn into the War of the Second Kingdom, as a companion to Phin, the new King and as a brother to the leader of the lion shifters.On his way, he meets Phins half-brother Asher, the blood demon that is the true hair to the throne.Asher is the really clean one, always in the shower, when Phin shows up at his house ;)Simeon gets drawn to Asher, but the demon is a little hesitant to surrender.Getting in touch with the King and hearing his verdict, before his death, has an impact on Phin, Joseph, Asher and Simeon….But I think it is safe to say that Simeon gets on Asher’s good side….Another great book-chapter in this saga from Ms Scott. less
