review 1: Tall, Silent and Lethal by R.L. Mathewson was a book worthy of the New York Times Best Selling Author caption on the cover. Christofer, the hero, had the tragic backstory, ripped abs and big heart required of the most elite book boyfriends. Cloe, the heroine, was smart and strong but not a Mary Sue character. Cloe is scarred and prone to panic attacks which fit her backstory perfectly. Though this book is part of a series it reads wonderfully as a standalone. This isn't a compilation of sex scenes strung together to form a barely there plot like we're seeing with a lot of romance books today. Tall, Silent and Lethal is a well-edited, fully developed book with evolving characters and a complete story arc. This isn't fluff or poorly camouflaged literary porn. This is a brave... more-the-bathtub-with-your-kindle and function on three hours of sleep the next day because you couldn't stop reading kind of book. The suspense and villain were perfectly balanced with the sexual chemistry of the main characters and the evolution of their romantic relationship. I've read other books by this author and R.L. review 2: OMG !!!!! R.L. has done it again !!! such a great book! Loving all about Christofer and Cloe ! AND I love that we get to see what happens to our other favorites that we can't get enough of !!!Christofer is such an amazing character and you know he's special from the beginning but until the very end you don't realize just how much and then you when WHAAAAAAAT is he ?!?!?!??!?! can't wait to see what comes next. I love that he's so special and strong and so guarded but above I just LOVEEEEEE how he screams MINE !!!!! like every second chapter LOL !!! can't get enough of growling LOL Cloe is sooooooooo cute that you want to cuddle and snuggle but she's though as nails as well !!!! reading about her got me laughing and crying !!! I wanted to punch someone when you read her struggle but you see she can handle it. these two together as sooooo freakin' adorable that you want to eat the up !!!! but you also want to kick their ass for the double meanings and innuendos and ect. !!! like seriously slap them on the head for not listening till the end of the conversation. but in the end things got sorted out and we have an happy ending ! glad that Danni is ok (YES!!!!!) and that Izzy is feeling a bit better and that Kale is still being a tough on the outside but gooey on the inside with warm and fuzzies' !!!!! keep them coming !!! less

I am a huge fan of R.L. Mathewson's writing, especially her male characters. Christofer did not disappoint. Although he is not my favourite in this series (that has to go to Ephraim), he was everything you expect in a Mathewson male. There was a lot more going on in this book than the others and I loved that. Kale had a larger role to play and so did the other Shifters. I felt sorry for Chris. He was everyone's punching bag in this book. The reason that this book is not getting 5/5, is because I found it hard to like Chloe. She did annoy me at some points of the book. AND THE ENDING!?! What on earth?????????I would totally recommend this book to everyone. PLEASE READ THIS. IT IS AMAZING.4/5 stars

I love R.L.'s style of writing. I always find myself laughing along with her characters and absolutly love her constant use of "bastard" in all her books. Everyone says it and when they do it just says so much. This book introduces new characters while giving you more on all the characters you fell in love with in the first books. I'm getting desperate to find out what happeneds with Joshua, if Kale finds a woman who knocks him on his ass, and what happens with Logan and Jill. Can't wait for the next book!!!
