review 1: Robert j. Sawyer has proven again to be one of the most reliable voices in science fiction. 21 years straight putting out a novel a year and every novel is well researched about real people and real science. I marvel at his imagination and the way he can tell a story. This is another great novel with its similarities to frameshift and flash forward. If you loved either of those novels you will love this one.
review 2: Up until almost the end I thought this is a four-star book, but then it became some sort of a hippie make-love-not-war thing and dropped to 2,5 stars from there on. Thus far I had thought much better of Sawyer (You can never go wrong with chicken or Sawyer, I told myself) and before the "Imagine there's no heaven" part (chapter 50 onwards - an... mored "a surefire technique quaranteed to improve memory" would have been such a nice ending too!) it was a good page-turner. less
