review 1: This book read fairly well, although the ending was a bit strained and stretched out. I think I wanted to like it a lot more. The characters were passingly believable, but the relationship between the wife and husband was becoming tiresome about 3/4 the way through the book. I was also disappointed that the main resolution to the action of the plot occurred in the U.S. Why not Canada? Also, the listing of people coming out of coma-trances near the end of the book was also a very tiresome point, resembling a listing of family names from the Old Testament, bereft of style.

I found myself throughout the novel drawn to the stories and characters, but also to how the author was going to draw these two stories together. The end is a tad disappointing, as the author loses a bit of cohesiveness and the plot gets messy but still a very satisfying read. less

Definitely intriguing but I wouldnt recommended unless you're a fan of fantasy.
