review 1: I thought this book was alright. Not great and not terrible. When Neil Armstrong was a kid he loved planes. He got his pilot license before his drivers license. He also served for the navy he flew planes in world war 2. He was one of 9 people to get selected to become an astronaut. He said the famous words, "one small step for man,one giant leap for mankind." To read how many times it has took him to reach the moon read this book.
review 2: Due to being very interested in space exploration, I loved this book. this book provides excellent illustrations and explains the life of Neil Armstrong. From explaining his childhood to adulthood, it takes the reader step by step through his exhilarating life of being the first to step foot on the moon. This book could be
... moreused during science to explain the structure and importance of the moon. I feel that this book will capture the attention of students because the author has written it so that they are able to relate to the story, as it even explains that Neil was a boy scout. We would also discuss how setting goals and striving to reach them are so important in life. This book will definitely be in my classroom library. less
