review 1: While reading this book I was struck by various and regular feelings of deja vu. Malcolm Gladwell, Nassim Taleb, and Kathryn Schulz. I don't consider myself well-read on these topics so I question how many other examples of stolen prose and intellectual property constitute the core of this book. Surely you have finished reading this review and are wisely contemplating better ways to spend your time (twiddling thumbs, watching cat play with moth, knitting remote covers, etc) but I should also mention that the book was poorly written and lacked thoughtful composition. I cringe when I consider my contribution to this author with the purchase of this book.
review 2: I found this book at the book crossing zone of my work and I was attracted as I suppose all the peop... morele that have chosen to read this book by its title ‘’The art of thinking clearly’’. After reading the title you smile when nobody else is around because you think that this small thing will make you cleverer or at least make you think differently. And now I am so sorry to tell you that this book can do either fact. What is first of all nice about it is that is written in chapters so you do not need to worry reading it all at once. You can start today and finish it one year after without losing the sense of it. What else I liked? The fact that is written like a how to list. Not so good for a book but this one works well. No story no plot, no norm as you understand. Interesting anecdotes and experiment results gathered in a familiar easy tone and way so everybody can understand. He will not tell you something that you didn’t know before; he will try to give you examples most of them not easy to understand because he is into the economy sector. As another reader said before I jumped some chapters that seemed boring I suggest you to do so. Give it a try but don’t expect your life to be changed! less
