review 1: This was given to me in exchange for a review.I am afraid this was a little cut and dry for me. The content was good, but the way it was written was kinda slow and choppy. From what I hear the movie was the same way so maybe its the way it is suppose to be and the problem is me!It appears to go from one event to the other and not flow together. that makes it read more like a fact sheet rather than a novel.I like a story that builds and you identify with the characters and even feel as if you are there. This does not have that feel. My expectations could have been wrong, but when I read the Blurb I was expecting all these facts, but I also expected them to be in story form and not read like individual stories. With all that said, if you start knowing this you will not be dis... moreappointed for the individual accounts are pretty good!
review 2: As lent has just begun, what an appropriate book to commence these 40 days of reflection. What a wonderful account of Jesus' life on earth and the powerful impact he had on those all around him. I am deeply moved by this book as I continue my spiritual journey that has brought me to a new chapter of my faith. Many thanks to Roma Downey and Mark Burnett for this stunning account of our lord and savior. Bless you both. less

A little disjointed. I expected more... A better flow.
