review 1: I bought this book, expecting to get some help on my journey to find my true calling. Instead, I learned that there is no such thing as a true calling.This book doesn't include paths for your perfect career. This book doesn't include unique ideas. But I can guarantee you that you will close the lid with the motivation to get up and take control your life. You will have the strength you need and know that you are not alone in your search for meaningful work.
review 2: Lots of food for thought - what makes work fulfilling, how to explore what that might mean for you, and a really good section on reframing what is important. In "The Longing for Freedom" Krznaric suggests ways to redefine "having it all". That chapter is worth a read even for people who are happy i... moren their jobs. It didn't work as well for me as a "how to" book but did offer a good framework for thinking about next steps in my career. less
