review 1: When I started this book I didn't get into it right away - the writing seemed a little stiff at first but I ended up really enjoying this book. I loved that it wasn't just happy happy along the way and showed the life of a young girl who lived her life as one who wasn't the favorite child of her mother. I could relate to some of her choices (although not always the best choices) and had sympathy towards her reasoning.
review 2: There was nothing wrong with this book. It was well-written, had a very interesting and well-done plot, and good characters. It just wasn't my type of book. It was darker than I expected or wanted, and I kept hoping it would move past that and it never did. Some people might like this story a lot, but I really didn't. I did find it a l... moreittle bit haunting however...the kind of story I was awake thinking about after finishing it. There is always something to be said for a book that stays with you after you close it for the last time. less
