review 1: Sooo Thursdays book was this beautiful funny treat that has kept me up well past my bed time because, I just had to finish it! Right characters fabulous! Loved them, not only did you go from wanting to shake leading lady Nicola to loving her, you just wanted her to kick the dating worlds ass! She developed before my eyes her dating mishaps and disasters where hilarious, seriously funny stuff! That made her character blossom. I did genuinely have to hold my nose to stop myself from laughing loudly an waking up my 3 year old daughter. I've highlighted my favourite lines that resulted in said nose holding in pictures below! So anyway I loved it genuinely loved it Caroline, James both believable loveable characters I don't have a bad word to say. It was a brilliant book and ac... moretually heartwarming as all us women have wanted to lock our hearts away an give up but this book showed us that giving up is not the way to go as Clara would say "you must ensure you do not deviate. It will be hard but you will learn things about yourself. By doing this your goal will be realised and you will be for fulfilled" couldn't of put it better myself a book for anyone who has dated, loved and lost, been left behind, it's even suitable for kayak and bat enthusiasts!
review 2: Nicola Brown is super organised, who also happens to be an extremely conscious about what passes through her lips. Her punctuality is her forte. Nicola, is dedicated, passionate and single. So when she was dared by her colleague to go on as many dates as possible in order to find her Valentine, she hastily accepted the challenge and her quest of love being. Only if it was that easy to find the true love. After going on way too many crazy, insane, weird and disastrous dates, Nicola started to feel that she could never found the right man but her destiny is not going to let her down, not this time. This book has some really strong characters. I could relate to Nicola, totally, but sometimes she is just not herself. Though the book is funny but in parts, the story is quite good though. I love Rosie’s writing but at some places I felt that she could do much better. Overall, it’s a nice, quick read and is perfect to read on weekend with a glass of red. less
