review 1: I think at times my heart actually stopped beating, or my heart rate accelerated to the point I thought it would explode. I know that I am in an unstable emotional state going into reading these books (reading is sometimes a wonderful escape from death related reality) but stumbling upon these in the BDSM GB challenge has truly rubbed my emotions raw. I can completely understand Kittens head and choices. I am so glad I have stumbled upon this series at this time in my life. I wonder if I were not in the emotional state I am at this time, if this series would have touched me the same....
review 2: I loved book 1 in the Chronicles of Surrender series. I was very eager to start book 2, in fact, as soon as I received it, I started it and read it all in one eveni... moreng. I was really surprised at how much I disliked the first 40% of the book. The entire time Sophia/Celia was with Lord Fyre, I found the story boring and I was eager for Sophia/Celia to get home to Garrett. I also was confused when the story jumped almost two months without warning. What happened during those two months? I thought the shark scene was way cheesy and I laughed at it rather then felt anything else.The story is much better when Sophia/Celia (now Celia) returns home. I loved the conflict between Lord Fyre and Garrett. Celia was a bit annoying and selfish but overall I felt the story was moving along. I am a huge Roxy Harte fan, I love how she takes risks and I will read book 3.Warning- this book is not for everyone. less
