review 1: Like others who've commented, I had some trouble with the author's writing style, but it was far outweighed by the pleasure (yes, pleasure!) of recognizing myself on almost every page. After I finished I wanted to send it to everyone who's ever given me one of those WTF looks or completely misunderstood me. So, yes, I liked it, and yes, this review is completely subjective. I usually hate the word "empower" and all variants thereof, but in this case it fits.
review 2: I found the book to be interesting in providing the female perspective to Aspergers, although it does divide the many aspects of Aspergers into different topics even though some could be considered to be controversial like talking about Autism and the gut. I have not actually seen books talk about burning bridges or having children.I am interested in her experiences as she has only given the readers a taste of what has occurred in her past. I would like to read her other books though. I would say great book for a beginner and I am happy she has provided references at the end, though a more extensive reference list could have been provided. less
