review 1: Naughty and Nice - Ruthie Knox, Molly O'Keefe, Stephanie Sloane ROOM AT THE INN by Ruthie Knox *****WOW. What a story. loved it so much! Carson is not the typical guy who's afraid of relationships but he's scared shitless though he loves Julie and it should be obvious to the both of them how much they care about each other. I loved how slowly but surely the realization came to both of them. and also loved that the one who helped him in the end was a friend from his past he "left" for all the wrong reasons. This is my second novella by Ruthie Knox, I also read two of her independent books - It seems I fall in love with everything this woman writes :D I'll sure be reading Camelot in the VERY near future :) ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU by Molly O’Keefe **Didn't like this... more one. it was too "childish" for me. maybe it's "been awhile" since I've been 17, or maybe it was the simple mindedness of both characters, but it just didn't move me in any way. I tried reading the snippet in the end to the book itself and found I don't "get it". I think I'm not the "right" audience for this book. ONE PERFECT CHRISTMAS by Stephanie Sloane *****What a sweet story. I usually read contemporary romance or PNR. I think I might have read 2 books in this genre in the past. This story was simple, sweet and honest. Jane and Lucas have been neighbors and best friends since forever. Until Jane gets in close vicinity of marriage Lucas doesn't understand he loves her, and she realizes marrying someone else is not the best idea..
review 2: I thought this was a fab Christmas Anthology, really well written short stories. My favourite was definitely Room at The Inn by Ruthie Knox however, I enjoyed the others too and they were new Authors for me. Overall in this one we have everything you’d want from short yummy Christmas stories and I was pleasantly surprised how deep we managed to get with some of the characters. The heat factor stays pretty much at the simmering stage but there’s plenty of romance and heart-warming moments. less
