review 1: Brother Wilcox was my institute teacher a couple of times when I was in my twenties, and his classes were always so enlightening. I have not been disappointed by his books, either, and this one was no exception.This work is possibly the most open-minded book I have read by a prominent LDS author, and I found that it validated many of my own feelings about spiritual openness. While Wilcox does not stray from his LDS beliefs in this book, he remains completely open to the ways in which men and women of other faiths - and even people who have not identified as religious - have been inspired and have impacted the world in meaningful ways.
review 2: I don't know if this book really deserves five stars on its literary merit. Reading a book at different times of your... more life tends to color your opinion of it. This one came at a time when I was particularly in need of a spiritual uplift, and it surely provided that. Some of the biographies were of people I was familiar with, but some I didn't know much about at all. Each of them gave me a desire to be kinder and better. Thank you, Sara, for sharing. less
