review 1: I love when accidental love smacks you in the head.Bredan Daly wants to prove to his ex-boyfriend Kent that he is spontaneous and sexy fun in the sack (or in a broom closet as the case may be) so her plans a role play scenario bad cop vs. suspect. Very hot and sweet scene. But there is a little problem, it isn't Kent, but a new handsome doctor at the hospital company party that Brendan attacks 'Kent'. Oops, Dr. Stephen Gallagan has no idea what the heck is going on when some strong man grabs him en route to the toilet where he was planning to hide from all the persistent single ladies at the party. Stephen has a secret, he is a virgin and has almost no experience with anyone (male or female) so when he is 'forced' into some sex acts it makes the scene super sexy hot. This ... morehappens in Boston, although there is very little to situate the story.Short story and a kindle freebie.2 stars
review 2: Manhandled is another winner from S.A. Reid, an author with a special talent for blending sizzling male/male sex with a page-turning plot. A cop and a doctor meet by chance and find themselves irresistably drawn to each other. They don't seem to have much in common besides lust but find a unique way to approach a relationship that works for both of them. It's a short read but super hot!The two stories that follow are excerpts from longer novels but well worth the read. The Red King by Rosemary O'Malley is a swarthy pirate tale that promises to be an exciting and decadent read. It's the first I've read from this author but it definitely captured my interest in her work.The excerpt from S.A. Reid's upcoming novel, Soulless is a tantalizing treat that whets the reader's appetite for more! It is a vampire story set in Victorian times, which makes it all the more taboo. A bitter, crippled scientist meets a strikingly handsome stranger who ignites feelings of desire he thought he'd lost when his manhood was destroyed. This has the makings of a relationship unlike anything I have yet to read and the outcome of which I couldn't possibly predict. I can't wait to pick up the full version of the novel! less
