review 1: I picked up this book at the library because I was feeling desparate and I expected it to be very cheesy. I was surprised to find that I quite enjoyed it. I never considered a werewolf having PTSD, but I liked it. She and the other protagonist, Udolf, flashbacked and nightmared their way into a relationship. There was an interesting interplay of aggressor/victim throughout the story, and I got quite a kick out of it. It is a werewolf story, so there was plenty of limb-ripping and dismembering going on, and a pretty high body count. By the end, I was cheering Lily on, as she kicked butt and took names. (I am so ashamed, guess I left the moral highground there.)
review 2: I have never really been a huge fan of werewolves so when I came across this book I th
... moreought that I might now like it and it was going to be exactly the same as they all are. To my pleasant surprise I found that I thoroughly enjoyed the story, time period, writing and theme of the book! It didn't necessarily put a twist onto the wolf story but it was a new perspective and cast into a new type of story and background then the werewolf stories usually are. I thought it was great and I look forward to reading the next few books written by S. A. Swann and I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone that I know is a big reader or very into the whole werewolf idea. It was a nice change for the werewolf history and I give the author credit for an authentic piece of work less

Meh. The premise sounds interesting, but it was sooooo predictable.
