review 1: This is the story of the Duke's cousin, Victor, whom we discovered in What the Duke Desires. He's got himself hired by Manton Investigation, in the hope of finding his errant wife and finally getting over her betrayal.But when he does find her, she insists that she's the one with reasons to distrust him. Could things be different from what they seem?A very good story with great characters and a plot just as lively as the first in the series.
review 2: I quite enjoyed this tale of reunited lovers, separated for 10 years, then rediscovering each other through an investigation. Reading the blurb on the back of my book, I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I think Sabrina Jeffries did a great job with this unique storyline. Victor, from the previous Duke's men bo... moreok, and Isa, his wife, have issues of mistrust from her greedy relatives, but manage to work through them. I especially like the ending, where Isa's relatives get what they deserve after sabatoging her marriage, and threatening her daughter. less
