review 1: I thoroughly enjoyed the author's excellent writing abilities, and wit. There were times that I truly LOL'd. Her sense of humor through her characters was brilliant and it was a truly fun-read. The book was geared towards younger readers; however, I think all of is should spend some time reclaiming our youth. As far as the story goes, for me, it was a bit predictable, but for a younger reader, I know they would love it. Overall, a quick, and fun read that kept me entertained from the beginning.
review 2: There is a benefit to stealing books from your child's book basket, you discover things! Jinx is fabulous! He lives in a large forest called the Urwald in a clearing until his stepfather takes him out to abandon him and he is rescued by a wizard. But is he... more evil? Or good? And what about the witches that bounce around in butter churns ( a la Baba Yaga) and the Bonemaster whom everyone is afraid of? Great story and there is a sequel! Yay! less
