review 1: So far I'm quite enjoying this one in the series. I had to put the series down at first, because I'd read The Naked Gentleman, and was initially quite put off with Grace jilting John, that I couldn't read this one. However, I took a step back, read a few other books, and came back to it, and I absolutely adored the book. It was so great, I had to get The Naked King immediately after and start it. :)
review 2: I'm reading this series out of order, but I still understand what's going on and I'm not at all confused. Most likely this is a series of books that were written as stand-alones so that people could read them out of order.Anyway, this book was about Baron Dawson and his desire to get a wife that didn't look tiny and breakable. Enter in Lady Grace Belmont a
... more large (only about 5'9) woman who is older but in her first Season. When Dawson sees Grace, he feels an immediate connection and wants her for his wife. Grace doesn't know what to think except that she's too large to be with all those annoyingly petite women. As Grace tries to get closer to Dawson, her aunt pulls her away. Apparently Grace's family has a long standing distaste of the men in Dawson's family.. so a union between the two, any kind of connection between the two, would be impossible. Well, Grace doesn't seem to want to listen and then all hell breaks loose.I loved the story between Dawson and Grace, they worked really well together. But even more surprising was Aunt Kate's storyline. I thought that was a great side romance that provided a lot of comic relief and it's own share of good sex scenes.I'm so glad I stumbled upon this series in the library, I have another one of the books here and I will be starting it soon. less
