review 1: My most recent ex gave this to me on our third date with the message that he had bought it at the Strand book store in NY without knowing who it was for, but now he knew. On our first date we had bonded over a shared love of NY, and so I was touched. :) Reading it made me nostalgic for my time in the city in 2011, and it was fun to relive my own memories as the father and son acted as a guide to some magical Manhattan moments (Grand Central, the library, Empire State, a taxi ride).

As we go on our tour of new york each page is filled with vivid pictures and interesting facts. You learn a lot about New York's unique characteristics from how many stars are on the ceiling of grand central station to how to catch a cab. This would be a great book if you were doing a lesson that was about New York or New York city, or even a lesson about the great landmarks or places in the United States. Also a great book just to have in your library. less

a bit too much detail for my son, but still interesting especially for age 6-10 NYC tourists.

Per Daddy, it has everything Emerson needs: cars, trucks and New York. He loved it.
