review 1: Historicalromance okuma duygusundan daha çok mistik , gizemli bir fantastik kitap gibi geldi bana , şöyle ki ; kadın kahramanımızın ailesine ait değerli mistik özelliği olan Işık Çemberi Kara İskoç tabiri ile anılan bir korsan Tarafından yağmalanıp çalınır ve nesiller geçtikçe çemberi bulma arayışları içerisinde çemberin laneti iki aileninde kaderini şekillendirir , zaten hikayede bundan sonra başlar . Aslında kurgu ve hikayeyi ben beğendim fakat yazardan mı çeviriden mi tam olarak bilmesemde bir zayıflık vardı. Ben aldığım ve okuduğum için pişman olmadım ama almış ve ümidinizi yükseklerde tuttuysanız bu kitap için bunu karşılayamayabilir diyeceğim :)
review 2: Good read. Enjoyable wrap up to the McBride s... moreeries although certain parts of the book seemed too quick in it's resolution. It revolves around Maura O'Donnell trying to restore her clan by finding the mythic Celtic "Circle of Light" that was stolen from her family ages ago by a pirate going by the name of "The Black Scotsman".Of course as luck would have it, a descendant of his (unbeknownst to him), Alec McBride happens to be in Ireland just as Maura's father succumbs to the curse that fell on their clan after the relic was stolen. She comes up with a plan to meet Alec, drug him, make it look like he took her virtue and force him into marriage (with a false deacon so it wasn't a true marriage) so that she could go to his home and find and restore the relic.My problem with it is despite Alec's anger into being forced to marry Maura, and then her reluctance to be married or continue their matrimonial life - at no point does he force the issue. In essence, he was too nice, if that's possible. Didn't make sense. It took him long enough to become suspicious and yet when he did figure it out, he was quick to get over it because they fell into bed together. And by golly, by that time he was already in love with her so of course he didn't kick her out but instead, agreed to help her find the relic so she could leave him.Little too easy if you ask me but nonetheless, a good storyline. less
